Using Data Audit Trails

LatitudeLearning provides a data audit trail feature for core LMS records — such as courses, users, and certifications. This tool is only available to Portal Administrators, who may need to track data additions or edits over time.

Feature Overview and Requirements

Using the administrator interface, a record detail or edit page will display an action button to View Audit Trail. Click this button to display the tracked information identifying what was modified, who modified it, when it was modified, and what the starting and ending values were, if appropriate.

Changes to LMS records do not clear previous audit information. Audit Trail tracks edits over time, listing the most recent at top.

  • Audit Target:   Selected record to audit
  • Display Name:  Object or attribute that was added/modified
  • Action (I/U/D):  Edits to LMS data tables are tracked as an Insert, Update, or Delete actions. 
  • Changed:  Date and time of action
  • User:  Person or process who modified object
